Trip Boat Update
Diesel conversion of Thomas Dadford
Thomas Dadford has been operation for nearly 20 years with a number of outboard engines. Of late, these have proved troublesome, partly due to the weed growth on the canal and the stress put on the engines when driving a full boat.
It has been proposed that, while the boat is undergoing necessary re-furbishment over the winter months, that a more efficient diesel engine be fitted which will also be a safer option than petrol.
Unfortunately, this will not be a cheap option but we are seeking funding to enable Thomas Dadford to continue giving service to the public and keeping the canal system open.
