History of the Neath and Tennant Canals
Library exhibition of History on laminates completed and to be shown at the National Eisteddfod
The Society's History of the Neath and Tennant Canals, which is on 11 laminate sheets, has recently completed a tour of all the libraries in the Neath Area.
The librarians reported that it received many favourable comments especially from school teachers, many of whom were unaware of the canals' history and the work carried out by the society.
A selection of laminates will be on view on the Inland Waterway's display at the National Eisteddfod in Swansea this year. They will be rotated with other canal societies.
Our Chairman, Mr Ricketts, has been asked by the new Swansea Museum to give talks to parties of school children who vist, when the display is shown there towards the end of the year.
