Neath and Tennant Canals Trust

On the evening of the 17th April volunteers from Aberafan Canoe Club teamed up with Keep Wales Tidy to clear Resolven Basin of rubbish and large logs. The project was timed to coincide with Neath PortTalbot Council draining the basin whilst they changed the lock gates at the adjacent lock.Despite 1/2 metre of stinking mud, several large logs, 4 road signs, 6 road cones,some tyres a bicycle and a pram were removed.  The Club and keep Wales Tidy would like to thank all those who volunteered, and the council for removing the rubbish.
