Work Party at Aberdulais Basin

As work on the aqueduct at Ynysbwllog is progressing a work party at Aberdulais............................
Thursday 20th September saw a work party which included Malcolm Smith, Hywel Jenkins and a new member Harry Lewis clearing the basin edging capstones in preparation for repair and replacement.
The stones from the skew bridge to the end of the basin were cleared of weed and the quay wall partially exposed. It is proposed that the residual earth lying against the wall and much of the weed will be cleared and the wall repaired in preparation for the trip boat the Thomas Dadford to hopefully operate from the basin next year.
